About TalkStash

An iPhone app by the TalkStash team.

Why it exists

Knowing the words is not the same as knowing the sentence. You can know “you” and “decide” and still not know that people say “It’s up to you.” And the good phrases you look up, or hear in a chat or a show, slip away. Seeing a phrase once is not enough. It has to come back.

TalkStash puts asking and practicing in one place. You ask how to say something, keep the answers worth keeping, and practice them until they are yours to use.

How it works

• Ask. Mira, the AI language expert in the app, answers in the mode you pick: Chat, Natural Phrasing, Correction, Explanation or Translation. She explains in your own language.
• Stash. Keep a reply with one tap, or turn a longer chat into a note.
• Practice. AI turns your notes into review cards. You check the list before any card is made, and the cards come back a few at a time.

TalkStash works in nine languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and German. Pick the one you speak and the one you are learning.

How we treat your data

• TalkStash does not use your content to train AI models.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
• Replies are generated by AI and can be wrong. The companies that generate them are listed on the Third-party AI providers page.
• You can delete your account and its data at any time. See Delete your account.
